KNOWLEDGE AND TRADITION FROM SOGN
Fruit farmers in Sogn are accustomed to life among steep mountains. On the green slopes rising from the Sognefjord you can find the smallest fruit farms in the country. Sogn is considered to be the oldest fruit-growing area in Norway—fruit trees have blossomed here since the Viking Age. The large fjord basin cools the fruit in the summer and warms the trees in winter. Age-old tradition and modern scientific insight form the basis for Balholm’s beverages
